Oops, it's been just over a month since my last post when I said I would be writing more regularly. Sorry! In the last 3 weeks, me and Brandon have moved into our first apartment, changed wedding plans and I got that new job I've been working my butt off to get (which I started today!) So I hope you can understand the lack of blog posts!
Luckily, I will have much more time now that things have settled down and I am finding the motivation to write again.
So let's begin with my 4 favorite Fall Target finds!
1. Pinterest makes it easier than ever to plan your home decor before you even have the home or apartment! I knew I wanted this serving tray for quite a while and had so many coffee table arrangements waiting to be showcased with this tray. For the fall wedding theme, I added our shower card scrapbook, wine corks and a wood-designed candle from Bath and Body Works! I burn the candle almost every day and it's lasted over 3 weeks and it's only halfway gone. Not bad for a 3-wick candle!
The tray is also going to be the centerpiece for winter arrangements where I'll set it up with pine cones, maybe some baubly ornaments and one of those fancy fake reindeer. So many options and I love the home-y feel of it!
It can be found here at Target.
2. I've been a huge fan of baskets lately. This handled basket makes a perfect blanket storage for chunky throws or even bath towels! I like to keep it near my couch so I can grab a throw out of it when it gets a little chilly (which honestly hasn't happened much in this 93 degree heat, but I'm keeping my hopes up for the coming weeks.) There are some other square baskets that make good gloves/scarves or movie storage, but this shape is my favorite at the moment!
It so versatile and can be used for anything from my throws, to your children's toys, to a shoe basket, to a laundry hamper. It's definitely one of my favorite finds and you can get one right here!
3-4. These are the best throw blankets I've ever had. Hands-down. I mean, I've had those fleece tie ones, flannels, crocheted or knitted ones, and these both still take the cake.
The dark grey one is the softest and warmest blankets I've found. The fleece has held up for quite a long time (I got this last fall) and its not pilling or losing the softness. It's not so much a throw for a couch as it's meant to be put on a bed so they only come in sizes twin-king. I have a twin and it's actually great to wrap yourself up in and use on the couch. Find it here!
The light tan one is my newest addition to the throw family. This one is a "sweater blanket" and it's got a finished edge like a sweater would. This one is very stretchy and incredibly soft, but not as warm as the grey one. This one is perfect for a warmer day and so I'll be using this one much sooner than the grey one! If you're looking for a lighter throw I would check this one out here.
And there you have it! 4 of my favorite Fall Target finds. It's only the 3rd day of Fall so I likely will have many more goodies to show you, but for now, start with these!
Side note: the coasters in my tray are from Target as well, but I would not recommend them. They are half marble and half acacia and one has already broken in half where the two pieces are glued together and it's only been used 3 weeks. So, if you're thinking about getting them I would strongly urge against it. Unless you don't mind gluing them back together all the time.
Let me know if you'd like to see more of our new apartment's decor and I'll show you more of my favorite items!
Thanks for reading :)
